PEGASUS SUMMER PROGRAM

A Soaring Summer Experience

Extended Day Options

Early Extended Day  8:00 am – 9:00 am

For all age groups, Pegasus offers an early morning program from 8:00 am until 9:00 am.  For families needing an earlier start to the day, the early morning program offers children time for indoor and outdoor play, board games, building with Legos or K’nex, arts and crafts, reading, and more.

Afternoon Extended Day 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Preschool.  During the extended afternoon program, preschool children enjoy dramatic play, gym games, music, building with blocks, and arts and crafts. They splash in the wading pools, run through the sprinklers, and explore the limitless possibilities of sand and water play.  There is a short quiet time when children may rest, read, or do puzzles.

Kindergarten through Grade Six

Recreational Swim at Wayland Community Pool.  Children staying for the afternoon swim option return to their homeroom after lunch. They then board a bus for the short trip to the pool.  Four certified lifeguards are on duty, and Pegasus staff is in the water with the children while others monitor the group.

Swim Safety.  Pegasus provides all children with safety vests for use in the pool. If a child does not want to wear a safety vest, he or she must pass a swim test administered by one of the pool’s licensed lifeguards.
